Free Fare Days
In an effort to promote use of public transportation over cars to explore Oklahoma City shopping, entertainment venues and events, and to get out and vote.
Fixed-Route buses, OKC Streetcar, RAPID, Spokies, Zone 1 ADA Paratransit will be free to ride on these listed dates:
- January 1 – New Year’s Day
- January 15 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- March 5 – Special Elections
- April 2 – Special Elections
- April 22 – Earth Day
- April 23 – April 28 – Festival of the Arts & OKC National Memorial Run **Does not include fixed-route bus**
- May 17 – Third Friday Free **includes public ferry service**
- May 27 – Memorial Day
- June 19 – Juneteenth
- June 21 – Third Friday Free **includes public ferry service**
- June 27 – Special Elections*
- July 4 – Fourth of July
- July 19 – Third Friday Free **includes public ferry service**
- August 16 – Third Friday Free **includes public ferry service**
- September 20 – Third Friday Free **includes public ferry service**
*If election is not called for, services will not be free. *
Does EMBARK charge fares during snow route service? Yes. However, if advised by the City of Oklahoma City, EMBARK fixed-route buses will implement free rides to the city’s six overnight shelters during freezing temperatures
