Fall 2024 Service Changes

Fall 2024 service updates will become effective for OKC and Norman bus service on Sunday, October 27, and are intended to make service more frequent, reliable, and safe and result from operator and customer feedback.

• Updates include slight schedule changes to routes 012, 024, and an increased 30-minute frequency for Norman route 112.
• Other changes include the removal/addition of stops on routes 002, 003, 009, 010, 014, 023, 23N, 024, and 040

Fall 2024 Service Updates

Route 002, 003, 23N, and 024

• Change: Eliminate inbound bus stop #328 and outbound bus stop #357, both at NE 13 St & Oklahoma
• Objective: Improve safety, avoid delays caused by railroad crossing, and improve on-time performance

Route 009

• Change: Add inbound bus stop #4443 at General Pershing & N May and outbound bus stop #4444 at General Pershing & N Miller
• Objective: Serve Fairground Flats, a new 216-unit apartment complex

Route 010

• Change: Move bus stop #85 at N Portland & NW 16 St further east to NW 16 St near N St. Clair
• Objective: Enhance overall safety, optimize stop spacing, and improve route efficiencies

Route 012

• Change: Update timepoints on service schedules to reflect more accurate departures
• Objective: Improve on-time performance and reliability of service schedules

Route 014:

• Change: Move bus stop #556 at SW 25 & Walker further east near SW 25 & Hudson
• Objective: Eliminate duplication of bus stops that are too close together and improve service efficiencies

Route 014:

• Change: Eliminate bus stop #3720 at SW 25 St & Robinson
• Objective: Enhance overall safety, eliminate duplication of bus stops that are too close together and improve service efficiencies

Route 023 and 23N

• Change: Eliminate bus stop #202 at NW 23 & Western and update bus stop #4014 at NW 23 & Olie as a timepoint
• Objective: Improve route efficiency by eliminating duplication of bus stops that are too close together and improve the reliability of service schedules

Route 024

• Change: Update timepoints on service schedules to reflect more accurate departures
• Objective: Improve on-time performance and reliability to service schedules

Route 040

• Change: Eliminate bus stop #1956 at SW 4 St. & Hudson and add existing route 014 bus stop #3870 at Walker & SW 2 St. to route 040 stops
• Objectives: Enhance the overall route safety and improve on-time performance

Route 112 (Norman)

• Change: Improve frequency on route 112 from 60-minute to 30-minute departure frequency
• Objective: Enhance the overall convenience and reliability of public transit in Norman
