EMBARK staff will train qualified persons how to lead classes that cover trip planning, individual transit orientation, group transit orientation and rider conduct. EMBARK will certify professionals who have experience working with people with disabilities, older adults, youth, and disadvantaged; and are knowledgeable about public transit. EMBARK training classes will take place annually.
Graduates of the program will receive an EMBARK trainer photo ID, which will allow them to ride fixed-route transit service for free for one (1) year. Trainers will need to be recertified each year.
The program will also provide transit passes for training classes conducted by certified trainers. Classes will need to be registered for in advance. Request a trip.
